In Safeguarding Essentials, Counselling and Race, we will explore and consider the law and good practice in safeguarding in counselling and psychotherapy through the lens of the race construct. We will also explore ethical decision-making models, and consider dilemmas in the context of suicide, domestic violence and sexual abuse. There will be opportunities for small and large group discussion, and for reflections on the implications of the topic for your professional identity and clinical practice.

Richard Kettley is a UKCP-registered psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer, and has worked for charities, schools and universities as well as in private practice
