This webinar will focus on understanding the cycle of abuse, which allows abusive relationships to perpetuate for years in many cases, and the impact of this cycle on survivors.
We will introduce the Safelives DASH risk assessment checklist, which aims to provide a uniform understanding of risk across professions and is a tool for practitioners to assess the highest risk factors of domestic abuse. We will discuss specialist services that can support survivors to gain control and break the cycle of abuse safely.
Marianne is an experienced Relationships and Sex Educator for young people and has spent the past 3 years supporting homeless young people who are experiencing domestic and sexual abuse. Marianne draws on her experiences from the Domestic Abuse sector, her ISVA training and Feminist Legal Theory studies to examine gender-based violence through anintersectional lens.
